Node 20+ ships a built-in localStorage/sessionStorage stub on globalThis
that throws "storage.setItem is not a function" unless Node is launched
with --localstorage-file=PATH. Vitest's jsdom env only overwrites a
fixed allow-list of globals, and neither storage is in that list — so
Node's broken stub shadows jsdom's working implementation and crashes
any code using zustand's persist middleware.
Override both globals in the test setup with an in-memory Storage
implementation. Resolves 10 keybindStore failures plus 1 FriendsPage
toast failure (all symptoms of the same root cause).
The remaining FriendsPage DM assertion failure is unrelated and is
left for follow-up triage as it touches federation DM-creation
behavior.
Implements image save/download (blob fetch + anchor trigger, fallback to window.open)
and clipboard copy (PNG write via ClipboardItem, fallback to URL text copy) with
toast feedback. Also adds ClipboardItem polyfill and Response.blob() content-type
fix to the jsdom test setup so the clipboard test suite runs correctly.
tsc was emitting compiled .js files directly into packages/web/src/
alongside the .tsx source files because noEmit was not set. These
artifacts were never used — Vite compiles from .tsx source directly.
- Add noEmit: true to packages/web/tsconfig.json (tsc = type-check only)
- Delete all 62 orphaned .js files from src/ (-6,129 lines)
- Add packages/web/src/**/*.js to .gitignore as safeguard

Phase 2 - Discord UI Overhaul:
- Remove stray borders between layout columns
- Replace shadow-sm with shadow-header on content headers
- Replace all bg-gray-*/text-gray-* with Discord color tokens
- Ensure flat color contrast (#1E1F22, #2B2D31, #313338)
Testing:
- Set up vitest + @testing-library/react + jsdom
- Add 17 tests across InviteModal, JoinServer, FriendsPage (all passing)
- Fix vite resolve.extensions to prefer .tsx over stale .js files
